Industry Oral/Poster Presentations

Are you interested in giving a presentation but don’t have enough content or data to give a full 30 minute presentation?  Submit an abstract for Industry Oral/Poster.  The presentations are 15 minutes in duration and are scheduled Wednesday afternoon.  Posters will be displayed the duration of the conference in a high traffic area.  You are encouraged to include slides in your oral talk.  If you have questions, please contact Lyn Sholl.

Presentation of a paper in a poster session provides an opportunity for effective one-to-one communication, as well as increased visual display of your material.

  • § Standard poster board size is 4′ high by 6′ wide. The panel is fabric material that utilizes pushpins.
  • § All materials should be prepared in advance.  Proper illustration is critical to an effective presentation. The use of large lettering (legible at a distance of 6′ or more) and minimal text is recommended.
  • § Illustrations should not be mounted on heavy stock as this makes it difficult to mount them on poster boards.
  • § Use of colored ink in printing and colored paper in framing text can be attractive and enhance the paper.
  • § Presentation information should follow a logical sequence and include a formal title.

Time will be allowed for each presentation to be mounted on a poster panel before the start of the poster session. The pushpins will be supplied. Please return the pushpins in the containers provided after your poster presentation for the use of other presenters.

Timely collection of materials at the end of the session is the responsibility of the presenter.  Any remaining posters left on boards will be removed and disposed.

There will be no tables in front of the boards.
